The first annual Mr. KHS. You think you have a hidden talent or no talent at all, please consider signing up. The event will take place on May 20th in the KHS cafeteria.

It is now truly spring and the games are on! KHS has another busy week which starts off on Monday as the golf teams travel to St. Maries for the St. Maries Invitational. Softball has their home opener on Tuesday with a doubleheader against St. Maries in CIL play. First pitch is at 2 pm with the second game slated to start at 4:00 pm. The girls are hot right now as they have won four straight, including a 27-1 romp over the Lumberjacks last week. The boys baseball team also takes on St. Maries in a twinbill at Morehouse Field in Osburn, game times are 2 and 4 pm. The boys look to avenge a tight 18-14 loss to St. Maries last week. Wednesday will be our day of rest and then golf is back at it on Thursday at the Timberlake Invitational at the Twin Lakes Golf Course outside of Rathdrum. Friday sees the Track & Field team in action against some of the best in the state at the DirectCom Invitational held at venerable Davis Field on the campus of Idaho State University in Pocatello. There is plenty of action in this two day meet. Baseball and softball are also home as they host Priest River for CIL doubleheaders. First pitches at 2:00 pm at the KHS Softball Field and Morehouse Field in Osburn. GO WILDCATS!

It’s been a minute since our last update, but our students have returned from spring break ready to work.
We know the nice weather is calling, but there is no better place to be than in the classroom.
Let's keep this momentum going all the way to summer! ☀️💜

This year there were 139 entries from 16 different schools across the state. The jury viewed the submissions separately and ranked their top 40 submissions. Any submissions that received 2 or more votes received invitations to have their work shown in person in the Reflections Gallery. Works from THREE KHS students will be on display out of a total of 40 from across the state. The Exhibition will run April 20th – April 27th at the University of Idaho. This timeline aligns with the University’s Jazz Festival meaning thousands of people (including students from Idaho schools) will have the opportunity to admire the exhibit as it is prominently displayed in a high traffic area of campus.
Congratulations to the following KHS Students whose work will be on display:
Austin Gardner, Covered Glass
Ashlee Jenicek, Buddha
Kaia Palmer, My Spark
The following students were also recognized for their outstanding work and received honorable mentions:
Lilliana Webber, False Gospel, Kellogg High School
Coraline Whatcott, Bubbles, Kellogg High School
Lucille Derbyshire, Self-Reflection, Kellogg High School
