As power is restored to our KSD facilities, we can start resuming our extra-curricular activities! Unfortunately, the Kellogg Boys Basketball game against Wallace tonight has been canceled. However, the KHS Girls will tip off against Moscow tomorrow (Friday) - JV @ 5:30, Varsity at 7:00 so come to Andrews Gymnasium and warm up! Our KHS wrestlers will head to Tri-State at NIC on Friday & Saturday and our JV & Girls wrestlers will travel to Lakeland on Saturday. Be safe out there and GO WILDCATS!

Emergency closure- All schools in the Kellogg School District will be closed on Thursday, December 18, 2025 due to continued widespread power outages and windstorm damage. All extracurricular are also canceled for Thursday. Extracurricular activities scheduled for Friday and Saturday will be addressed individually as conditions are assessed. School will resume on Monday, January 5, 2026. Please continue to be safe and support our community in the aftermath of this devastating weather event.

This is an update regarding the KSD school closure on 12/17/25: All after school activities, including the Christmas Concert, have been cancelled. A decision regarding any closures on Thursday 12/18 will be made by 5:30 AM. Please stay safe!

Our high school leadership students spent the morning at Mountain Valley of Cascadia, helping residents decorate their doors and sharing smiles along the way. Moments like these remind us that the best lessons happen when students give back and connect with those around them.

Thank you to the residents for welcoming our students and letting them be part of your holiday season — this is what community pride looks like. ✨

The match with Priest River scheduled for Dec. 17 has been cancelled. We hope to reschedule it and will look for a new date after the new year.

Full week of sports in this last week before the Christmas Break. JV Basketball gets to shine early in the week with the Girls and Boys taking on Coeur d'Alene on Monday and Tuesday and the girl traveling to Mullan. Varsity gets into action at the end of the week with home games. The boys face Wallace on Thursday and the Girls take on Moscow on Friday. Wrestling has a CIL match with Priest River on Wednesday and ends the week at the annual Tri-State Tournament on the campus of North Idaho College on Friday and Saturday. It's another good week to be a Wildcat so catch a game or a match. GO WILDCATS!!

Next week is packed with so many fun and meaningful activities — music concerts, class parties, dress-up days, and all kinds of memory-making moments. These special days are not only exciting for students, but they’re also great opportunities for learning, connection, and community.

Thanks to a generous donation from NAPA Auto Parts, our students now have nearly $8,000 worth of new tools to support their hands-on learning.

The only gift the KHS Student Council needs is for every student to give their best Christmas Cheer. The dress-up days are next week as follows:
Monday- Seniors and Juniors, dress in red for Santa
Freshman Sophomores, dress in green for the Grinch.
Tuesday- Dress as your favorite Christmas movie, and/or ugly sweater
Wednesday- White out (Wear White)
Thursday Pajama day (Polar Express School-Wide Party)

🎉 Big congratulations to our Kellogg High School JROTC — they’ve been named a Naval Honor School for 2025! 🏅 Only about 20% of JROTC units across the nation earn this distinction.

Lots of road games this week with a big finale at Andrews Gymnasium on Friday & Saturday!

Boys basketball kicks off the week with games at Lakeland on Tuesday. The wrestlers follow on Wednesday with the Lakeland Quad and the annual matches with Coeur d'Alene and Lake City.

Girls basketball travels to Hawaii for three games at the Oahu Classic Thursday through Saturday, while the boys basketball travels to Orofino for a big CIL game on Friday.

Friday and Saturday is the annual George Wild Tournament at Andrews Gymnasium. Aberdeen and Soda Springs come from the South, Eureka returns from Montana and 22 teams will battle for supremacy on the boys side, 18 from the girls.

With only three weeks until Christmas Break, our schools are buzzing with concerts, projects, celebrations, and lots of hands-on learning! 🎄✨

This is such a fun and important time of year, and every day in class truly matters. When students are here, they’re part of the activities, memories, and learning moments that make this season special.
