What an incredible week it has been for Kellogg High School as we celebrated Homecoming 2024! With enthusiasm buzzing, students, staff, and families came together to create unforgettable memories leading up to the big game against the Bonners Ferry Badgers on Friday night at 7 PM. Here’s a recap of all the festivities that made this Homecoming truly special.
Monday Evening: Drive-In Movie Night
We kicked off the week with a nostalgic drive-in movie experience in the KHS parking lot. Students gathered in their cars, popcorn in hand, to enjoy a classic film under the stars. The laughter filled the air, setting a festive tone for the week ahead.
Tuesday: Volleyball Showdown
On Tuesday, our spirited volleyball team traveled to Timberlake to take on the Tigers. The energy was great as our Wildcats fought hard on the court. Although the game was intense, the true victory was the support from the fans who made the trip to cheer them on!
Wednesday: Dig Pink Volleyball Games
Wednesday brought another exciting event as the KHS volleyball teams participated in the annual "Dig Pink" games in Wallace. The stands were packed with enthusiastic supporters, all rallying for a great cause. With every point scored, we celebrated not just the game, but also the fight against breast cancer. Thank you to everyone who came out and contributed to this meaningful event!
Thursday: Pep Rally Road Trip & Homecoming Parade
Thursday was a whirlwind of school spirit! KHS football players, cheerleaders, and band members hit the road, spreading Wildcat pride to Kellogg Middle School, Pinehurst Elementary, and Canyon Elementary. At each stop, KHS alumni staff members joined in the festivities, taking pictures and sharing their Wildcat memories.
In the afternoon, the excitement peaked with the Homecoming Parade, winding its way down Cameron Avenue to Hill Street and culminating at Teeter's Field. The parade was filled with candy, cheers, and smiling faces, setting the stage for a good old-fashioned pep rally. The atmosphere was full of fun as students and staff united to celebrate our Wildcat spirit!
Cross Country Success
While all of this was happening, our Cross Country team was busy hosting the Ben Castro Invitational at the Pinehurst Golf Course. Congratulations to our runners for their hard work and dedication, showcasing the Wildcat spirit in every stride!
We want to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone—students, staff, families, and community members—who contributed to making Homecoming 2024 a tremendous success. Your spirit and support truly embody what it means to be a Wildcat.
We can’t wait to see everyone at Teeter's Field for the big game against the Bonners Ferry Badgers on Friday at 7 PM. Let’s bring the energy and show our team just how much we believe in them! Go Wildcats!
