Happy New Year!!
School resumes Monday, January 6th

Merry Christmas!

Great job, CES families! Your commitment to student attendance has made this holiday season extra special. Let's keep the momentum going when school resumes on January 6th. A strong start to the new year means a strong finish! #ksdstudentsfirst

Dear Parents/Guardians,
The Kellogg School District Board of Trustees has begun the process of implementing a new policy to promote student health and safety, improve academic focus, and prevent cyberbullying. This policy comes from the "Phone Free Learning Act", an Executive Order issued by Idaho Governor Little on October 31, 2024.
This policy will require students in grades K-8 to keep their personal electronic devices (phones, tablets, smartwatches, etc.) off and stored in their lockers, backpacks, or designated classroom storage areas during the school day. Students in grades 9-12 will be required to keep their devices off and stored during instructional time.
We understand the importance of technology in today’s world, but we believe this policy will create a more focused and positive learning environment for all students.
Please be on the lookout for more information, after the holiday break, as the policy is finalized. We will provide additional details, including specific guidelines and exceptions for students with special needs and emergencies.
Thank you for your support!

Update: As of 1:30pm on 12/18/24, power has been restored and phones are working normally. at Canyon Elementary. Thank you!

As of 12:30 pm on December 18, 2024, Canyon Elementary is experiencing a power outage which is affecting the phone lines. In the event of an emergency, please call 208-682-3494 to reach the CES office. Avista has been notified and is working to restore power. We will send out any updates as they are received.
