Spring Forward Sunday, March 9th!

Awesome news! Attendance is climbing! 😊 We love seeing our students in class. Keep up the great work! 3 weeks until Spring Break! #ksdstudentsfirst

I wanted to let you know about a potential safety concern for kids who stay and play after school. The creek is flowing very high and fast with Spring run-off. There are a couple of spots on the nature trail that pose a significant safety concern if a child was to slip and fall in. It seems that kids love to play in and around water and that it draws their attention. I would strongly caution against allowing kids unsupervised on the nature trail after school.

Every day counts! ☀️ We're thrilled to see our district's attendance rise this week, with Kellogg High School leading the charge. A huge thank you to our families for prioritizing school attendance! The countdown to spring break is on, but let's stay focused. Regular attendance means more learning, more opportunities, and more success for your children. Commit to showing up every day! #ksdstudentsfirst

Cougar Pride Winners this week are Connor Evans, Uriah Slate, VV Walsh, Lily Hendzel and Piper Cramer! Good job kids!!!

March is here! Which means.....we are getting closer to Spring Break!!!!!

Kindness Week was a huge success! Mrs. Weaver, along with the kindness committee (a small group of 4th and 5th grade students), came up with ways for our students to focus on kindness. They planned a toy and blanket drive to benefit children at Sacred Heart and Shoshone Medical Center. Students also participated in kindness activities all week, focusing on different ways to be kind to others. Acts of kindness were reported and a star was earned for their class. In total, 345 stars were given-representing 345 acts of kindness. The 2nd grade class won the challenge with 97 stars! Way to go Canyon Cougars!

Our attendance update is in! We've noticed a lot of sniffles and coughs going around this week. With the 4-day weekend ahead, let's all prioritize rest and recuperation. Staying healthy is key to maximizing the benefits of good school attendance. We look forward to seeing everyone back refreshed and ready to learn on February 18th! #ksdstudentsfirst

Reminder! No school Monday, February 17th
